If you are wanting to add in Inseam Pockets, press pause in the Sew Along now until we've inserted those pockets (coming up next week, along with a free pattern piece) as going back and adding them afterwards would be annoying, since you'd have to unpick your side seams. You can sew up your lining side seams though!
I am adding Inseam pockets into this sew along coat because I have several patch-pocket coats made already. So, while I show you everything pinned together for this post, I don't actually sew these seams in place on my outer coat, only my lining pieces.
Steps:
1. Right sides together, match side seams of the outer back and front coats.
2. Pin in place. Then, back tacking at each end, stitch together. Trim down seam allowance and press open. Repeat for the other side.
3. Repeat all steps above for the lining pieces.
Tomorrow we're inserting sleeves! Yay!
