David sent me this link a few days ago. It's pretty amazing. The number of cat-fur finger puppets and pin cushion gifts I could have made over the years boggles my mind...
You can currently look inside Crafting with Cat Hair: Cute Handicrafts to Make with Your Cat* on Amazon here.
Also, I kind of want this book... just sayin.

*These crafts are not recommended for people with cat allergies. (Hehe!! No, but seriously... :p).

that creeps me out a bit, in a cool way.
ReplyDeleteI need to get this book the amount of cat hair at our place is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteLol - I have seen this book before. The things they make are very cute...but it's so strange to think they are made from cat fur!
ReplyDeleteCheck out this post if you haven't seen it before:

Seriously cute felted cat!!!!
Well they've got "chiengora" yarn made from dog hair, so why not. I really hope you go along and buy this, if I still had cats, I would! Although, our dog produces tons of hair. Hm.
ReplyDeleteI think I just found my Mom's Christmas present! LOL
ReplyDeleteI bought this for my brother-in-law's Christmas gift a couple of years ago (every year we try to buy each other the worst gift imaginable)... it's so, so scary. The little cat crafts are really cute, if you can forget that you need to save OLD BALLS OF CAT HAIR to do it. It's pretty upsetting.
ReplyDeleteHmm, kind of weird, kind of intriguing. All I know is if I ever decide to try this I have a more than abundant supply!
ReplyDeleteI saw this the other day at the V&A quilt expo bookstore in Brisbane, hilarious!! I have a Himilayan and could totally have made everything several times over, if only I saved the fur. EEWWWW yuck!!
ReplyDeleteI have this book but it's actually a little disappointing if you, like me, were hoping for crafts you can make with cat hair. Aside from the finger puppet, just about everything else is just felting cat hair and then appliqueing it to other things. Over and over.
