The Secret World of Knitters....

Knitting

I had my first knitting lesson today - it was fantastic and I couldn't believe how much I could actually remember. I used to knit quite well when I was younger, and once I remembered the basic stitches, muscle memory just seemed to set in and I was away laughing. I still get a little confused changing from a purl to a knit, but I'm getting there.

And boy is there a whole other crafty little world out there I didn't know about! Listening to the other ladies chat about techniques and tools (most of which I've never heard of) was really interesting and it should be a fun adventure delving further. Very much looking forward to next month!

Other knitters out there - I'm on Ravelry if you'd like to be friends with me,

Knitting lessons sound great, I've never known how, but always wanted to learn! Can't wait to see what neat thing you make!

Did you join a knitting club? I so want to find a knitting club or knitting circle, whatever you call it, here on the Gold Coast. It would be so much fun! Maybe I should just start my own.

Good luck with your knitting! I taught myself to knit using books and the internet, but there are still so many techniques to learn. Love that color of blue yarm that you're using :)

I have knitted for about 4 years, and I love it. A good place for you gals to check out would be Ravelry.com. It's a knitting website (for free) filled with patterns, techniques, and groups. =]

Your stitches look so even. Isn't muscle memory great? :)
