Monty helps me sew. I have it on very good authority that he is handy with a needle and thread. I am yet to see this in action. Will report back.
Yum!

Love the look of the pattern for the wrap dress! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try to make some trousers but I'd get very distracted if I had that wrap dress pattern. It's gorgeous and can't wait to see it made up.
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely patterns! Trousers are notoriously difficult to fit, which is one of the reasons I don't sew them any longer - LOL!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to both project reveals!
I can't wait to see the pants, I've got the same pattern. I've never made it because I feel like it wouldn't be flattering on a girl with a tummy.
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies :)
ReplyDeleteI need a break from the pants and the wrap dress looks like it should sew up quickly :)
Sarah - any pant sewing advice most welcome, they are SO HARD to get right!
Lisette - I'll let you know my comments on this pattern so far on your blog. Then, if you ever make them up, you might avoid some of my first mistakes!
Oooh, love both patterns! Good luck with the trousers-- I fear them, but one of these days really need to work out my fitting alterations and just make a pair or two! The wrap dress pattern is particularly lovely.
ReplyDeleteI'm one of those people who has a sewing machine, has tried to use it multiple times, but have yet to really set my mind to conquer it. I follow your blog for inspiration for than anything, but your writing cracks me up. Especially "Taking a break from The Pants and making a violet wrap dress for the autumn instead." Haha! Well, I'm eagerly awaiting The Great Pants Update! If you can keep trying to make those pants, then maybe I can START trying to make something much easier. :)
