I have a little treat for you today... Have you always thought the Kinfolk Dress would look great as a button-up shirt dress style?
Me too! Which is why I've created a button-up expansion pack so that you can get even more use out of your original Kinfolk Dress pattern.
The Kinfolk Dress and the Button-up Expansion Pack are available in both the Original and Curve sizes, with A to F cups included, in sizes ranging from an NZ size 6 to 34.
The Details
The Kinfolk Button-up Expansion Pack includes pattern pieces and instructions for making a full or partial button up Kinfolk Dress.
Improving the original Kinfolk Dress is a tall order - it's 40s bohemian style and part-kaftan part wrap-style dress silhouette is what breezy everyday dresses are made of. But adding a shirt-waist dress option steps everything up a notch, making Kinfolk the dress to fill multiple wardrobe gaps.
Plus: Attention nursing carers, or carers-to-be, this expansion pack is perfect for you! Kinfolk's relaxed silhouette is great for growing bumps anyway, but adding a functional button-up centre front means easy access any time, all while looking effortlessly stylish and feeling totally comfortable.
Using your Expansion Pack...
This is not a complete pattern.
You will need your original pattern and instruction booklet to use this expansion.
I've designed this expansion pack so that there is no need to re-print your entire Kinfolk Dress pattern. Simply print out the expansion pattern, tape the relevant pieces on to your current Kinfolk paper pattern pieces, and you're away laughing.
When you're ready to make the original version again, just fold the expansion pieces out of the way and continue as usual. This is all laid out, step by step, in the Expansion Pack Instructions.
Your Expansion Pack includes expansion button placket pieces for your main dress paper pattern, facing pattern pieces and the additional instructions needed for constructing a button-up Kinfolk Dress.
Please note that the expansion instructions refer to your original instructions often where techniques and steps are the same as the original - so keep these handy during construction.
