Felicity isn't super fitted, so in order to get a nice fitting dress in a knit with stretch, you'd need to down size in the waist especially, not so much around the bust though, as you don't want the gathers pulling out.

I'd try a knit with not too much stretch, maybe a 100% cotton?

There's also the small darts at the back to consider too, but you could just leave those in, they're quite small, and if you use a knit with low stretch, you'd possibly still need them.

xx
JJenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16384277110904485746noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1921233768935126478.post-39059555817263411482016-04-30T14:36:44.467+12:002016-04-30T14:36:44.467+12:00Thanks Jennifer! The pockets are perfect, and so is the length. I cut one in chambray last night. Thanks for the great suggestion though, I will definitely have a think about how I can add that feature into future skirt lengths :) Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16384277110904485746noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1921233768935126478.post-80411673185595692022016-04-27T16:26:08.872+12:002016-04-27T16:26:08.872+12:00What a nice idea! I've been dying to make Bronte and bought it ages ago and haven't yet put it together. I know yours are more efficient than most but still.... on another note, I have a suggestion. I always have to lengthen skirt patterns because I like them below the knew - 26 inches or thereabouts. I'm asking the pattern designers I buy from if the can include alternate lengths for certain skirt patterns that would look cute longer. Lenghten/shorten don't always do it.... the gathered version of Felicity would be simple but the other one wouldn't, for instance....Francescahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03715570187712365610noreply@blogger.com
