I will take photos of the end product tomorrow (I'm going to leave them in all day and all night). Fingers crossed they turn out because my left arm really really hurt at the end!

Wow, I've been MIA for two weeks. But sometimes its good to take a break every now and then don't you think?
Last weekend David and I were lucky enough to see Joss Whedon at the Sydney Opera House, we are both Buffy nerds from high school (but were yet to even know each other then) and are also part of the 'Bring Back Fire Fly' club. He mentioned would never get over Fire Fly being cancelled because there were so many stories to tell - awww...
We are now planning our Buffy watching marathon and are in the process of getting Doll House as we've both never seen it.

Right, enough nerd stuff, here is my best impersonation of Rosie the Riveter - watch out ya'll...

xx Jen

That is such a gorgeous outfit! I love the jeans - am a little jeans obsessed as need a new pair and they are horrid things to buy...
Love your jeans and top and the pops of red look great.
He he, love your rosie pose!
Good luck with the pin-curls, can't wait to see how they turn out!

Another fantastic outfit! Love the bits of red. I've tried tying bandannas like that before, but without any luck - maybe mine aren't large enough?
In other nerdy news you might appreciate - there's a rumor going around in the States that they're going to make a Sandman TV show from the Neil Gaiman material. I have to admit, I'm more worried than excited about the idea.
You look so pretty, I love your outfit and headscarf!

You should do a tutorial on the various ways you wrap scarves. I'm in awe!
Oh my gosh!!! I love this so much!!!
Okay seriously - this outfit is by far the cutest! My favorite of yours thus far. I couldnt help but leave a comment!
Awesome Choices of Clothing Combo!

You are SO cute! Those jeans are fantastic, they fit you perfectly!
I love that your headscarf matches, it would be great even if you WEREN'T hiding pincurls! Which, by the way, I can't wait to see.
Who needs the pin curls when the head scarf looks so great?!
Pretty look!
Do u have an account in lookbook.nu?

Cute outfit!
Fantastic outfit - you look very sassy! Loving the pops of red too.
I LOVE the Rosie the Riveter vibe here! So good!
awe these pictures are so adorable. I am in love with this outfit. You are always so perfectly stylish!
I was never actually a Buffy or Firefly watcher, but so many of my friends are/were and I hear I'm missing out!
I can't wait to see what the pin curls look like. I tried them once in college... it was a lot of fun and they turned out pretty good. While my hair was up I looked much less adorable than you do, I looked a lot more like Lucille Ball!
Hehe so cute!
Thanks for the offer about Astin's dress, you can be the judge about whether it's fixable, but I don't feel too confident about it.... :(
I will totally agree with your friends above... those jeans are really great. I usually don't like jeans, but these ones have a great sway/stagger to them I bet!
Also I did bigger pin curls than usual yesterday and have a really great style today... good luck with yours!
What a gorgeous look, Jen! I just adore it!
Take care of the arm!
Hi. Just to let you know I left you an award on my blog today: http://dailyclothesfix.blogspot.com/2010/09/avoidance-techniques.html
CUTE outfit.. I love it and got some ideas for something I can put together.. although I dont think the turban would look any good on my.. you Rock it!!!
I love the outfit. Love those jeans. Did you make them? Your Rosie Riveter pose is great. I wish I had your cute figure to pull off a look like that. I made lots of pin curls when I was in Cosmetology class. Had to do pin curls and finger waves for the state board exam.
Keep on sewing, you do it well.
You look so chic and retro! I'm too lazy to try out pincurls (though I certainly think about trying!). Can't wait to see how they turn out.
I myself have never really watching Buffy, but I LOVED Firefly and still mourn it
xx
Gorgeous pics, I love these!
I wanna see how they turned out!
love these colors on you! your photos are great! :)
Love,
Jennifer & Sherry
Hope the pin curls went well, can't wait to see the pics!
Heya thanks for the comment :) I love a good vintage blog. Can't wait to see how the pin curls turn out!
Hi, thanks for your comment? Your outfit is lovely.
can't wait to see the result! And i love your outfit!
I thought of Rosie the Riveter even before I scrolled all the way down to your adorable posed pics. :)
Can't wait to see how your pin curls turned out! Since you have adorable curls anyway, I'd imagine that the effect would work pretty well on you. (My hair really doesn't curl well and never has, but my sister can fake it if she has a lot of product in her hair.)
Super cute outfit! I especially love the top. I hope that your pincurls turned out well. Everytime I've attempt to do them thus far my arm just gets too tired and I give up ;)
Love the scarf! And the blouse is pretty, too. :-)
love these pictures!

the headband is amazing!!
You look sooooooooo beautiful! That headscarf is lovely and the combination of blue and red so good! Good luck with your pin curls! :)
You look absolutely adorable!! Oh, and I bet you'll really like Dollhouse! It was pretty good. :) I've been thinking about having a Buffy marathon lately...
Loving the Rosie the Riveter pose. Great outfit, lovely headscarf too.
You are tooo adorable! I love the whole look!
oh gosh - Doll House is fantastic!!!! I just watched it all for a second time. Amazing! I am keen to hear what you think of it!
Awesome outfit :)
Funny ... I'm actually watching Buffy as I read this. Band Candy. Joyce and Giles just got nasty on a cop car.
Love Joss, and love your blog.
