Busy Buzzy Bee...

Where did the time go?

I'm just popping into say "hello" and "sorry for being MIA but work has been incredibly busy and still is...". These photos are from two weekends ago.

Don't know what I'm doing here - but I am quite possibly trying to be awesome...

I guess it didn't work..

July is over, and I'm proud to say that I went nearly the entire month without buying any clothing. I fell off the wagon on the 30th of July when I decided I would like to browse, because surely there wouldn't be anything I would want until August anyway. Wrong. Two dresses and one pair of shoes later and it was August, and I could shop freely again, and shop I did. No more shopping until my next pay round now as I totally over did it! Such is life.

I also only managed to sew two items in July but started on my third last weekend - I hope to finish it this weekend and show you next week. Also, my sewing with vintage patterns series has stalled too. This week hopefully!!

Also, wanna see what I really look like? Okay then...

PS) Check out my sewing area - I did a little interview with Tilly that is now up on her blog, complete with photos :)

You look so lovely, Jen! I love how you've mixed such a seemingly mismatching array of colours and made them look stunning :)

You are ADORABLE! And I think your attempt at being awesome worked quite well. :)

I really love the blue sweater with the purple flowers, they play so nicely together!

I wore bright blue today, too! Long live that beautiful saturated azure color...just so lovely!

That skirt is simply divine. I love it, unreservedly.

ooh I really like your skirt actually, so pretty! :)

and yess that cake is from Breadtop! there's a funny story behind it actually. My bf and I saw the cake before and he knew I liked it. But I had been nagging him days before for a real puppy to have at home, but we couldn't really get a real pup for several reasons, so he surprised me with the cake instead. hehe

The cake is yum. you should try it :)

Hi Jen,

I like your interview on Tilly and the Buttons -- and now, I like your blog!

I have a question for you -- I am planning a move from Canada to the UK, and I wanted to know how you transported your sewing machines. I am moving by plane -- meaning, no container sent by boat -- and was wondering if the best thing would be for me to bring my machine on the plane. I wouldn't really want to check it, would I? Or would it be easier for me to find a used, cheap sewing machine in the UK, that I could use for two years? What do you think?

Thanks for your help!

Well done on your shopping ban - I wish I had your will power (well, up until the 30th anyway lol)

And yes, that last photo does rather aptly sum up how you look on a day to day basis :P

Catch up soon? x
