Saturday Photos...

Hello everyone,

These are some photos from the weekend - on Saturday David and I made an attempt to go to an arts festival at Cockatoo Island, but the lines for the free ferry over were HUGE!! So, we explored The Rocks area of Sydney instead - we had been meaning to go, but had just never really found ourselves up that end of town.

We are going to make another attempt to go to Cockatoo Island this Saturday, as we both really want to go. Fingers crossed the weather holds up as we are also planning to head to the Aroma festival on Sunday. E informed me of $2 cups of coffee, and tea, and chocolate and spices and camel rides...we are definitely there! (I found out today that camels are actually pests in Australia. How odd to think of a camel as a pest...and I had no idea that they actually roamed around the countryside either!)

Speaking of the weather - it was gorgeous for the entire weekend - I've found that Sydney mornings are the coldest, but generally during the day I'm happy to walk around sans coat. Also the days have started getting longer, Summer, you are on your way, thank goodness. I'm a wimp when it comes to cold, and I've started noticing that around 5 outfits are on constant rotation because I can't be bothered thinking of anything else to wear during the week.

I haven't forgotten my July sewing challenge, and I know I'm late already. I may need to post two items at once as I can't take photos after work due to it being dark. So, it will be coming, albeit probably a week late.

Some photos from Sunday to come,

Hi Jen
The hubby and I headed over to Cockatoo Island when the last biennial was on. It must have been mid week cos the ferry was pretty quiet and the island was kinda creepy deserted. Theres a camp site on the island but i'd be too creeped out to camp there. We made our own entertainment though by making up a horror film set on the island about people trapped on their slowly being killed off as we walked around!! x
