Thank you so much for your birthday wishes - I can't believe its been a week since my last post!
Well, Sydney has been wet. Very very wet. As in torrential rainfall wet. As in roads turning into rivers in the CBD making crossing them a bit harder than usual wet. As in so wet that our courtyard doors took David throwing his weight at them so that they would open wet (they are hopefully being replaced soon as they were already rotting when we moved in and were told they were being replaced - one of the door handles has since come off because its been so wet).
So, I think you get my point - its been wet.
This weekend saw some early morning blue sky, which in turn meant we could finally do some washing, but on both days the weather turned in the early afternoon taking with it any chance to dry out a bit more.
David and I bought a Mr Fancy Pants camera on Saturday. We had fun yesterday taking photos with it on our way to do groceries. These photos are before groceries, it started pouring down while we were doing groceries and having no car meant walking in the pouring rain with heavy bags of shopping, an umbrella each and very wet footsies by the time we arrived home.
I also learnt that I am bad at taking jumping shots, which was one of the things I was really looking forward to doing with our new camera. Oh well, one can only get better...

Ps) All our stuff arrived from New Zealand on Thursday. I came home to a massive pile of clothing and fabric covering a whole couch. Two vintage suitcases - one with shoes, the other stuffed with winter woolies, and a plastic case filled with my most precious vintage. Not to mention two bikes, a sewing machine, an over locker and a big plastic case of sewing materials. And thats just my stuff...

I love long sleeve tops with shorts - and don't worry you'll ge the jumping shot down - it's just a timing thing :)
Hope it dries out soon!
I love rain but i hate floods....I love your cutie umbrella.
Your dragonfly brooch is beautiful! This is an adorable outfit.
Sorry to hear about the rain...but wow bare legs? Has it warmed up in sydney? I sure hope so! :)
oh wow. first I was all "I adore the umbrella!!" then I saw the dragonfly and loved that. Then I saw the shorts with the t-straps and goodness you just have me loving this outfit completely!!
So glad to hear your things have arrived! :)
(and I love the dragonfly pin--so lovely!)
Gorgeous brooch :-)
Cool umbrella! It's also raining here at the moment - but I have the week of work so I'm loving the rain - it's always best listened to from inside a nice warm house :)
Great pictures too by the way - I need some more practice with my digital camera. Perhaps I should take a class or something!
You brave girl, bare legs! I wore a dress and thin floral footless tights on Sat but froze pretty much any time I was not indoors. Congratulations on getting all your stuff, finally!!
oh yay your stuff finally got there! I bet you're thrilled!
Hehe cool, new camera! I love your jumping shots, and your outfit – are those vintage shorts? They're so lovely, as is your brooch :)
Hope the rain has eased off a bit for you!
Aw... I think your jumping shots are adorable!!! :)

Love your shorts! Hope you are having a great weekend xx
Happy belated birthday!
I really love your outfit and that umbrella is fabulous!
Glad to have discovered your blog,
Sarah :)
Hi - just wanted to let you know that I tagged you for a little 7 question meme thing. Check out my blog for the details. I can't wait to see your answers! Kat xo
Great pictures with rain!
Here in Paris we're nearly in summer but the weather is not very sunny! I love your shorts and brooch ;)
LOVE your umbrella (I am so jealous - one cannot own an umbrella in Wellington - it's always amusing seeing people try to hold onto them in the wind and rain!).
xx
ps. Are you enjoying/did you enjoy the first season of Six Feet Under?
I absolutely love this outfit! I suck at jump shots, too, but at least you look adorable trying to get one.
