Vintage Bikes...

7th September 09 2

Wow - I am truely blown away by the amount of responses I've had to my give away. I didn't think I'd get that many in a week, let alone a weekend! And there is still heaps of time to enter (it closes this Thursday my time, so Wednesday for you northern Hemisphere'ers). If you haven't entered, all the info is on the post below this...

As promised - here is my little vintage bike. I just need to buy some white handle grips for it and then it will be perfect.

Bike

The weekend was wonderful and full of sun and warmth - I only needed a light woolen cardi on Saturday! We went to the farmers market for gallettes, which had sold out, so went for GF pancakes with bacon and banana instead - YUM!

After that, I dropped David off at his office so he could spend the afternoon working while I did a spot of shopping (though didn't buy much) and then went home to take photos of my bike.

David has been roped in to take photos of me actually on the bike next weekend - I have discovered that my camera timer dosn't let me run back to the bike, pick it up, jump onto it and then start riding it. Here are some failed attempts...

Such a cute bike! I am not brave enough to get myself a bike here in Wellington. My bf has tried to convince me (he was a bike courier and has three bikes!) but considering he got hit at least three times last year he has a way to go!

Your bike is great! Haha, sometimes it's very hard to get good shots with a self-timer -- these are cute! :)

Oh wow--what a beautiful bike! I've been on the hunt for one lately in the hopes of replacing my rather ugly, hunter green mountain bike. ;) lol.

I love your outfit too--have I ever told you how inspiring you are?!

Aw, how cute is this bike! These photos are great. And, I'm slightly jealous of your beautiful springtime flowers. We're entering Autumn up here (my favorite season), but there are some things that just can't compare to the arrival of Spring :)
