Freesias in Tea Cups...

My weekend was long, I am tired, it's still raining and doesn't look set to clear up anytime this week either.

What has also made me more tired than I should be, is daylight savings. We lost a whole hour yesterday and it didn't help that I didn't actually get up until about 11.30am then spent the better half of the day in my pyjamas before finally getting into the shower around 2pm. David did have a nice analogy for our loss of an hour though - it's like tax, you pay it now and you'll get a refund when winter hits.

Our events went flawlessly though - the freesias are from our table centre pieces from Thursday and Saturday (yes, we recycle our flowers!). We were hoping they would last until this Saturday's event too, but we aren't holding our breath, hence why I took some home. I love them, they smell delightful and are one of my favourite flowers along with lillys.

I've been wanting to wear this outfit for a while now but couldn't find a cream waistcoat until recently. Its an outfit inspired by this outfit that Zooey wears in 500 days of summer.
I love the relaxed, casual man-ish style of it. Something a bit different from the norm and so comfy in this terrible Spring weather. I can't wait for the film to come out here - I've read many reviews on other blogs and as long as the costumes stand up, then I'm fine with the story being a bit lame.

Sorry for the terrible photo - there are better ones of this outfit but I couldn't find them.

The suitcase I got for $6 at our last marketday - I didn't get a shot of it, but it even has a post sticker on it from the interislander (it crosses the strait from the North Island to the South Island). Cool huh?

Also, my google reader currently tells me I have 600 posts to read. Argh! So, if I haven't visited your blog for a while, well, that's why. I hope to do some catching up next week, just let me finish this last big event :)

I really like the waistcoat and trousers look as a contrast to the pretty vintage dresses. I also wear both those looks. The vintage suitcase is awesome too. I love thinking about where they have travelled.

Hope the weather clears up!

I love this outfit. It's much different from the dresses & vintage pieces I'm used to seeing you in, but the wide pinstriped trousers and waistcoat just suit you perfectly.

600, oh good gosh! I get a little overwhelmed when my Google Reader hits anything over 50. You might need several cups of tea to work through all that reading ;)

I adore your Zooey inspired outfit. 500 Days of Summer is a cute flick. All of the beautiful clothing is definitely a visual treat :)
