Baking...

This post was originally meant to be a shop update, but the photos I took were terrible and need to be redone (hopefully tonight!), and then this current post was supposed to be posted yesterday but I had a very exhausting late night at work last night, and so its coming to you now.

These photos were taken on Sunday by David (Thanks Hun!) while I was baking scones. The apron is vintage - I have two now, do I smell a collection coming on?

I think this would be a perfect advertorial shot for 'Edmonds Baking Powder - Sure to Rise'. Maybe?

These pictures are absolutely adorable! Love the apron - my mom collects vintage aprons, and she's passed a few onto me, but I hardly ever wear them! I should get those out more often. :)

I have a least dozen aprons, both vintage and handmade- they're adorable, useful and cheap to collect - I can't stop myself!

I love your eyelet dress! I have some vintage aprons that I should wear but I'm afraid to get them dirty and then stain them, but I guess that's what aprons are for right?

Gosh, I love aprons. I have a pink gingham and a scalloped yellow one with black rick-rack trim. They're perfect :)

Love that dress! Can I ask where you got it? I've been looking for an eyelet wrap shirtdress forever. I found a couple a few years ago but neither of them really worked on me so I had to give them up.

Also - I am obsessed with aprons. I have a gazillion which is stupid because I wear them for like, an hour a day, maximum (unless it's a crazy baking Sunday, which isn't too often anymore)

Love the apron, I've been thinking about starting a vintage apron collection myself. There are just some adorable ones out there, like yours! ;)
I adore that dress. It is so gorgeous. Vintage I'm guessing?
You just have the greatest dresses!

Now those are some really charming behind-the-baking pics! Why no results of the deliciousness that are hidden in the oven?

How cute! I love the vintage apron, but I especially love the fun photo shoot. How did the scones turn out?

there is something very romantic about baking and cooking. i watched the documentary "how to cook your life" last night, and it spoke to the drive to cook for others as well as yourself. one baker said, "when i am baking and i asked how i am, i reply 'i am baking'. how i am and what i am doing are one and the same." i really liked that sentiment.
