Spring?

This is going to be one of those 'I'm just checking in posts' because tomorrow I leave for a conference in Christchurch and don't get back until late Thursday night.

24th August 09 2

The shoes are a birthday gift from my older sister - yes, my birthday was in May, but I haven't even told my mum what I want for it yet. I'm really bad about gifts and figuring out what I want, as you can tell. I saw similar shoes on a website last year when my sister was staying and I mentioned that I thought they were really cute and that I was wanting a pair of white, vintage-y, mary janes. So she got me these! They are very high, but cute and I love them!!

Last week I sent off my first Etsy orders which was rather exciting and I've also made some more skirts for a much needed shop update next week, when things get back to normal. Though I'm not sure for how long they will stay normal for, as September is our Awards Month. Which basically means we have lots of fancy dinners to organise where people receive fancy awards for various fancy (and not so fancy) things. There are a few other small-ish events taking place as well, before we wind down in October and then start planning for next year.

Ah next year - you are so close...

And I'll tell you what else is close - SPRING!!! Yay! Oh how I love you Spring. The days are noticeably longer, the flowers are out in bloom and soon it will be warm-ish and guess what, its still technically winter for another whole week...

PS) I am dreadfully behind on comment replying, and those awards of mine are still sitting collecting dust, I haven't forgotten, this week, this week!!...

you know what i started to do rather recently, as i'm quite as bad with presents as you? i started to send the link to my etsy favourites-list to people who ask me what i'd like to have. there is loads of nice things on that list, so that might make it easier for them..

Very cute outfit! I can never decide what I want as a present either! It's very hard to think of anything I want or need when other people ask about it.

I can't wait to see your shop update! :)

Great shoes and outfit! Glad to hear that spring is on it's way... I'm hoping that it cools down here really soon, though fall is still a bit away :(

Oh how neat, congrats on the first orders being completed!

I love the color of your dress, and it's perfect for upcoming spring. We're just about to move into our colder fall season in a few weeks. I feel kind of cheated because part of this summer was very chilly and rainy, and part of it was too hot to go outdoors. Usually we have at least the month of August for nice, moderate summer weather, but this month has been a bit abnormal.
