Just a quick post to say that I've done my very first shop update! Three new cute little skirts are waiting to be snapped up.
Look out for more next week!
And, please have a chat to who ever it is you chat with for me, to ask them if they can make the weather fine for tomorrow down here. We have a huge outdoor event tomorrow and the weather, while not terrible, is looking slightly grim. I'll take icy roads if it means a beautiful, clear winter day!!

Ps) I've taken down my prices a bit in my shop, it was something I was struggling with - how do you put a price on your own work? I did get some helpful advice from the lovely ladies who did my shop survey a few months ago, but it was still hard! So I hope they are a bit better priced for those of you who would like to buy a garment.

These are all so wonderful!! You make the prettiest skirts!! Adore the blue check!!
Is there anything you don't look lovely in? :)
I really love the second skirt!
I hate that you had to lower the prices on your shop, I know you worked sooo hard on things! Secretly, I do have my eye on the Yellow Tiered Circle Skirt but I need to build up a few funds first ;~)
I am seriously loving the first white circle skirt. It is just perfect for summer. Speaking of, will do my best to send all the good weather vibes around the world!

Your skirts are so adorable! Keep the prices where they are for now - I know it's tempting to lower them and hope for sales, but for something handmade like this I think the prices are just about right. I know I've said it a couple of times, but I really want to buy one! Maybe as a birthday present to myself next month. :)
Oh!!! Yay!!! I'm so excited that your shop is up--everything is so, so lovely! :) Best wishes of sucess with this venture, Jen!
I also wanted to pass something on about pricing I recently read (can't remember where; I've been reading a ton of books and articles on starting up a creative business): the idea put forth was that it is better to price things a tiny bit high at first, than to start low. That way, if things don't move at the higher price point, you can lower them a bit. Otherwise, it can get a bit tricky upping the prices in the future. Although I do know of some shops that have had to raise their prices with success. I'm not sure how I feel about this way of thought though; I'm still struggling with the whole pricing thing myself. Not undervaluing my work and talent, but at the same time being marketable! It's a tough conundrum!
Everything is soo cute.
Yay for shop updates! I love that blue gingham mini.
As for how prices go, the prices you have your items set at right now seem okay. If anything, I would say you could set them a bit higher, but definitely don't go lower. Coming from an Etsy buyer's perspective, if I see someone setting their prices too low, it makes me think that they don't really value their work enough. Also, you want to make sure that the price is fair to you and the amount of work you put into each item - you should be making at least some profit.
Hope that helps!
A combination that's pretty blouse with a skirt!
You are an artist! I have a talent like yours! All skirts are beautiful!

Oh wow. Jen, it is so hard to choose a favorite! The gingham skirt in particular is so sweet. Your prices are MORE than reasonable.
My waist is not quite small enough to fit your measurements, but I will happily recommend you to others!
Gorgeous outfits! I love that Peter Pan collar. You look really cute and feminine today!
