Films and Vintage Patterns...

The film fest is opening tonight - Yay, excited and lots to do :)

23rd July 09 2

I also got my hands on some great vintage patterns and two vintage pattern books a few months ago that I have yet to show you, so here they are. I'm going to make those sweet little high waisted shorts for summer - inspired by no other than Casey. I've never drafted a pattern before, let alone a vintage one, so I'm a bit worried about how they will turn out. I'm sure if I just make it up like I normally do, it'll be fine.

Fingers crossed...

XX Jen

I'm sure they'll come out beautifully! I have to admit that I'm a little jealous...I've been looking for a pair of shorts like those for a while:) I guess I'll have to start looking around for patterns! I can't wait to see the final result.

Look at that 50's dress with the full skirt! If you find a great overall pattern fabric it would look superb with that design.

Ooo those shorts are gorgeous. Teehee "teener"!

I've never made shorts or pants before. Are they hard? It's probably time for me to bite the bullet and give them a go... but I'm very scared of them!

I always find these vintage patterns at estate sales. I think they're fun to look at, but I've never committed to actually using them. Have fun tonight! Great outfit.

I wish I could sew! Thank you for commenting on my blog, btw. Maybe you can make Victoria B's dress yourself!
Also, I LOVETH the pink/black combo. The little flower pin pulls it all together.

I really admire anyone who can sew as well as you! With your original skirt designs being so lovely, I can't wait to see what these patterns inspire and what you choose to make from them :~)

Also, I've gotten some strange security words too. I wonder how they come up with them?? Haha.
