A Quick Post...

This is a little vintage skirt I got just the other day – and it has POCKETS!! Anything that has pockets is always better in my opinion!

My first two days back at work have been non-stop – as I was driving home last night it felt like it should have been the end of the work week! I’ve been working 9 hour days at the moment with no breaks (lunch is eaten in front of the computer still typing or on the phone, in meetings etc) and my days are only going to get longer as our first big event for the year approaches quickly at the end of Feb. It’s truly exhausting being a manager and I’ve only been doing it for 2 days! Every single decision rests at my feet and it’s up to me to hopefully make the right one, which means I think about work a lot (especially at night when I’m in bed, its so very hard to turn off!!). I have to be informed of what every one in my team is doing at all times, I need to make sure they are completing their tasks and to a high standard all while doing everything I have to do. I’m just very thankful that my team are an awesome bunch of people who know what they are doing, phew!

I also dropped off my little car into the garage this morning, it needs around $1000 worth of stuff needing to be done to it – ouch!

And with that, I’m keeping it short and sweet!

Love the vintage skirt! So beautiful. That red shirt has greatness too. The little buttons are very cute!

Wow! I had no idea you were so important! Keep plugging away, the rush can't last forever. :)

All your outfits are really cute, how do your co-workers deal with it? I'd imagine coo's running all down th hall lol :)

I almost bought a dress with pockets like that. Except the dress's pockets had big bows on them, as well as the scrunch. It was almost so tacky it was cute, you know?

Yikes! Sounds like Stress City, lady. Don't forget to breathe ...

The pockets are utterly adorable. What a great score.

That skirt is both beautiful and adorable at the same time
(as in beautifully perfect on you, and adorably child like in a way)

I love the pocketed-skirt and the new short hair! Looks great on you. I think I also have that same shirt in blue... except its a bit faded and worn out now. Anyhow, good luck with the job and keep powering through! It'll get easier at some point. :)

I feel your pain. I find it hard to switch my brain off work even when I get home. It's whirring whirring whirring. I have to give myself very stern mental warnings to snap out of it in order to be sociable to other people at home!

The skirt is just gorgeousness in a package. The ruching on the pocket is such a small detail but it's so lovely.

Very sweet packets on the skirt. Work sounds crazy! I can't believe you've worked your way to the top so quickly! Even if it is super-stressful now, you are straight into the deep end and I'm sure you'll be dominating before long. You're awesome!

what a gorgeous skirt! Pockets can really make a garment sometimes, no?
