I'm Back!!!

26th Jan 09

Contrary to popular belief, I haven’t actually fallen off the face of the earth - last week just happened to be an extremely busy and stressful week in work land. I really didn’t have time to post nor reply to any comments or emails and I feel really very bad about that, I’m mending my ways this week I promise!!

I really hope nobody has to go through the week I had last week – due to some of the issues being sensitive work issues I can’t really go into detail about them, but let me tell you, I hope none of you ever have to make the decision I had to make last week. There were a few telling times when I had to sit down with myself and ask whether I could actually do this – I’ve been the manager for two weeks now and boy what a two weeks they have been - character building *cough*.

So this weekend I decided that I really needed to fill it with things I love doing – due to my sewing machine still being away I couldn’t do any sewing or finish off those two skirts I’m currently working on but I did do a few other fun things. On Saturday morning I went op-shopping and came up trumps – lots of skirts, belts and fabric, yay!! And that night we had home made Devonshire tea again for dessert. Sunday we watched Battlestar (it’s finally started in the States again!!) and then went to the movies to see Revolutionary Road that night. I’m one of those people that can watch a bad movie if it has a good set and costumes – this movie had both and it was also a great movie. However, don’t go to see it expecting to come out feeling happy, it’s a very depressing movie and quite shocking with some of the things that happen. I almost feel like the moral of the story was don’t get married and have kids, especially if you lived in the 50’s.

The outfit above consists of one of the skirts I managed to pick up on Saturday, a cardi I thrifted last year and my trusty red flats. The necklace is from This Charming Girl and it’s an envelope that opens and inside is a tiny little letter that you can pull out that says “I love you”.

Now, I know I have awards and tags to pass on – I promise I haven’t forgotten!! I’ll divvy them out this week!

  2. Me again. I wanted to tell you that I tagged you for the 20 favorite classic actors list. I know you've got a lot to catch up with, so don't feel pressured to get it done right away. It took me quite a while just to get mine all formatted. Oh, and thanks for commenting on my post! :)
